Creating Game Assets

Game assets are the digital content, both visual and auditory in a game, including everything from characters and environments to sound effects and music. They are the building blocks of a game world, enabling players to interact with the game through visual elements like 3D models and 2D sprites, and auditory elements like music and sound effects.

I’m trying to create a 2D platformer game called Soul Eater and I need to begin creating some game assets. I found a couple YouTube videos on designing game assets that I find helpful.

Every game has a unique style for their assets. Creating visually well done assets will bring the game to life. Figuring out the sizes for the assets is important and finding the video above made it easier to understand the sizing of the assets before beginning to draw them.
