Starting with the basics- UX/UI

What is UX/UI?

User Experience (UX)- is the overall feeling and ease of use a person has with the entire product or service. Determining the user’s needs and the product’s structure.

User Interface (UI)- is the visual and interactive part of a product, like buttons and screens etc. It’s to create the visual and interactive elements that the user sees and touches.

Effective website require both UX and UI. A beautiful interface is useless without a logical and easy-to-use structure and vise versa -an amazing user experience can be ruined by a ugly or hard to navigate interface.

UX/UI is something I want to learn more about. I want to be able to learn new skills and programs to design websites or products and show off my creativity. I’m currently taking a web design class (fall semester 2025) and I’m hoping I’ll be able to learn more skills using Adobe programs. I’ve used Figma before to design mockup websites for fun but I knew I still had a lot to learn. So I’m excited to continue my journey of learning in class and my free time using all the resources available to get better.
