Ikko Tanaka (1930–2002) is a well-known Japanese Graphic Designer who began designing posters in 1954. His works can be seen in the The Museum of Modern Art. His works are a mixture of modern art style and traditional Japanese works. I really love the simplicity in his works. Here are some of his works:

His style is bold and simplistic and he uses geometric shapes a lot.
He also has great use of negative space which makes his posters simplistic.
